Position – Assistant Accountant
Dates – December 2017 – Present
- Reports to the Finance Manager – works as part of a team across Financial and Management Accounting entities across the Group
- Works to provide support across Audit Queries
- Month End – works to prepare Accruals and Prepayment Journals for Directors across the Group
- Processing Payroll for numerous Companies under Group structure using SAGE Payroll – Monthly – Permanent/ Contract and Temporary
- Prepare and Input Payroll Journals
- Responsible for Administration of Staff’s Expenses – working to HMRC rules and internal Compliance / Fuel Rates etc
- Responsible for Posting Supplier Invoices to the SAGE Intacct Accounting system making sure the details are accurate – Codes / NL etc.
- Reconciling multiple Group Bank Accounts – Daily / Weekly and for Month end
- Posting Bank Transactions daily – can be c 30 – 40 per Day
- Responsible for Reconciling Purchase Ledger Accounts – Monthly
- Extensive Query Management and Reconciliation – make Payments to Suppliers – Weekly – via Telephone and Email
- Sales Ledger – Reconciliation and Allocation of Cash – Daily / Weekly – Reconcile for Month End
- Run Aged Creditors Reports checking for missing Invoices – chasing as required
- Analyse Nominal Codes for details of YTD spend
