- Reports to the Finance Director and the Business Owner – has successfully progressed from Accounts Assistant to Accountant for the business
- Responsible for the account management of the residential and student property portfolio and deals with circa six hundred landlords
- On an annual basis works with the Finance Director to prepare the annual budget – in tandem with the Tech Team – assesses and analyses information and reports to the Financial Director
- Similarly involved with and is involved with yearend financial processes
- On a monthly basis completes the monthly accounts for the business – Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, postings, and analysis
- Produces the quarterly VAT return
- Prepares the company payroll for payment
- Maintains the company bank accounts
- Tasked with a full range of activities daily within each monthly accounting period
- Primarily manages the residential portfolio as the main source of revenue and maintains the accounts of over seven hundred entities
- Prepares all the annual financial statements for clients – advising on rent rises and any advice from in house agents
- Rents – received daily from tenants – arranges payment to landlords following deduction of the management fee
- Regularly chases outstanding monies covering Rent, Ground Rent, repairs and maintenance and Service Charges – this includes multiple transactions including paying and claiming from landlords
- Has successfully reduced the Aged Debtor list and built relationships with suppliers
- Creates and sends out the payment plans for tenants and manages and authorises payments to the landlords and other clients
