Our client is a highly successful name in the Property Sector. The Company head office is based at a location in the Centre of Manchester. Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Category Manager (Hard Services) to join their busy team to cover Maternity Leave – This role is Fixed Term Contract.

What you will be doing as the Assistant Category Manager:

  • Support the development and execution of annual operations plans (including optimisation plans, mobilisation, cost reduction plans, service improvement plans and Service Partner development / performance management plans).
  • Supplier identification and evaluation – fostering strategic partnerships
  • Contract and cost negotiation
  • Proactively and constructively identify and escalate process improvement opportunities
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure Hard Services sourcing methods are aligned
  • Risk management and compliance
  • Creating, Setting and Managing KPI’s

What you need to bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role – Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management or Strategic Sourcing
  • Project management skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Be a team player
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) – Desirable but not required
  • Completely comfortable overseeing tendering processes
