Our client – a large retailer based in the Ancoats area are on the lookout for a talented Bookkeeper with Payroll experience to join their well established finance team. This vacancy would be perfect for a Bookkeeper with a background in Industry and Commerce to take their next step in their career.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Managing daily bookkeeping tasks across Sales/Purchase Ledgers and Banking duties
- Processing payroll in a timely manner (weekly and monthly)
- Reconciling bank statements and financial transactions
- Contributing to Month-End/Management Accounts processes – Prepayments, accruals, posting journals
- Maintaining accurate financial records
What the Bookkeeper needs to Bring:
- Strong organisational skills
- Part qualified – AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc (not essential)
- System/Computer/Excel savvy
- Experience with Payroll and familiarity with PAYE, pensions, and HMRC regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team
