We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing accountancy and business support firm seeking a capable and reliable Cashier to join their finance team. You will support our client in offering tailored financial solutions to a diverse range of clients. The role is offered on a hybrid basis following completion of training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process client payments (cash, card, electronic) and issue receipts
- Record daily financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Reconciliation of receipts and payments across multiple accounts
- Supporting the preparation of financial records and monthly bookkeeping tasks
- Assist with accounts receivable and client billing processes
- Maintain accurate cash handling and banking procedures
- Support the accounting team with data entry and financial reporting
- Collaborating with accountants and finance staff to ensure financial compliance
- Maintaining accurate records in line with internal controls and audit standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cashier or bookkeeping role (ideally in a practice environment)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Solid bookkeeping knowledge—AAT qualified or working toward qualification is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or Dext preferred) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
