Location – Hazel Grove, Stockport / Remote

Salary – £20,000 – £23,000 plus bonus

With our client we are looking for a proactive Finance Administrator, to join their fast-paced and friendly team, to work closely with the Finance Manager on the accounting for our client and the partnering businesses.

The Finance Administrator role will be home-based or hybrid working, with travel required in the South Manchester area. Initial training will be in Hazel Grove. This role would suit an ambitious individual who can work under pressure and is looking to enhance their financial skills further.

You’ll also be an integral part of the wider Operations team, supporting with general administration duties to help them as they grow.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Supporting the Finance Manager
  • Managing the accounts inbox
  • Dealing with queries from the company, the partner businesses, the accountant, and suppliers
  • Assisting the accountants bookkeeping team with any queries and providing missing receipts & invoices
  • Creating invoices
  • Posting of purchase invoices onto the ledgers
  • Reconciling the company bank account
  • Producing reports at month-end and ad hoc
  • A small amount of B2B credit control
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and assist with various finance projects
  • Reconciling invoices and contributions relating to the group private medical scheme
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with activities relating to the Factoring and Payroll process
  • Ad hoc and project work

Ideally, they are looking for a candidate who is studying AAT level 2, and working towards full AAT qualification. Experience within a finance role ,aswell as use of Xero and Microsoft Excel is required.
