A leading professional services firm is seeking a Financial Reporting Executive to join its growing finance function in Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-quality reporting environment, supporting statutory and regulatory reporting while gaining exposure to a broad range of technical accounting matters. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role will suit a detail-oriented finance professional looking to develop their technical expertise within a collaborative and well-structured team.
Financial Reporting Executive – The Job:
- Preparation of statutory accounts, financial reports, consolidations, and disclosures under UK GAAP, Charities SORP, Housing SORP, and IFRS
- Supporting the Audit team with client queries regarding accounts, including direct client correspondence
- Assisting in finalising statutory financial statement production
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure client requirements are met and service excellence is maintained
- Acting as a key contact for clients, identifying client-specific areas of judgement, provisioning, and disclosure requirements
- Understanding regulatory requirements for each client and maintaining CPD in relation to updates to relevant standards
- Providing general and ad-hoc support to the Audit team
Financial Reporting Executive – The Candidate:
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in financial reporting, preferably with charities, housing, or not-for-profit clients
- Strong technical knowledge of Charities SORP and other relevant accounting standards
- Excellent attention to detail, with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator capable of managing client relationships and internal collaboration
