Installation Technician
Job Description
We are looking for an Installation Technician to join our client, who manufacture, deliver and install specialist care equipment nationwide. This opportunity will involve travelling to homes, schools, hospitals and exhibitions around the UK to deliver and install equipment that supports those living with complex needs.
Salary: £12.60 per hour (rising to £12.86 following successful probation period)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering, assembling and fitting specialist equipment
- Attending customer/client homes/hospitals/schools/exhibitions
- Work in the factory/warehouse as required
- Prepare products for packing and despatch
- Loading/unloading vehicles
- Setting up exhibition stands
- Collection of products for cleaning & renovation, following hygiene guidelines
- Demonstrate correct use of equipment to customers and healthcare professionals
- Driving delivery vehicles throughout the UK
- Undertake maintenance checks of vehicles and control stock of consumables eg. bulbs
- Carry out repairs to equipment as required and deal with relocations
- Complete all relevant paperwork including delivery notes and expense claims
- Ongoing personal development including understanding the company ethos and sector
- Adhere to specific health and safety guidelines that relate to this role
- Assisting with ad hoc duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to complete a DBS check
- A keen attitude to learn and develop
- Reliable and Punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to assemble equipment – metal bars and PVC
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability combined with experience of using power tools
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
The role will involve travelling away from home and will include overnight stays at least once a week. Expenses will be paid for travel away from home and will include meal and overnight allowance.
