Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to lead operations, drive performance, and ensure regulatory compliance for our client based in North Manchester. You will oversee daily operations, manage the team, and support strategic growth. A strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance is essential, as you’ll lead the firm’s AML processes, as well as managing client due diligence, risk management and ensuring compliance with ICEAW and AML requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the team
- Oversee compliance with ICEAW reporting requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory changes
- Lead AML compliance, including CDD/KYC, risk assessments, and reporting
- Work closely with partners to support business development and client relationship management
- Support budgeting, KPIs, and strategic planning
- Lead and mentor junior staff to maintain a high standard of service and technical quality
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of AML legislation and compliance procedures applicable to UK accountancy firms – Essential
- Understanding of ICEAW reporting requirements – Essential
- ACA qualified, or working towards ACA with relevant post-qualification experience – Desirable
- Proven leadership and practice management experience within an accountancy or professional services evironment
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency in accounting/practice management software (e.g., Xero, Karbon, MYOB)
