Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Ledger professional to join a busy and supportive finance team. This is a varied role where you will manage your own portfolio of customer accounts, maintain strong client relationships and take ownership of the full sales ledger process.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring invoices are processed, issued and followed up in a timely manner
  • Monitoring account activity, assessing credit risk and maintaining appropriate credit limits
  • Building strong customer relationships to encourage timely payments and support ongoing business
  • Managing overdue balances professionally, agreeing payment plans and resolving account queries
  • Maintaining an organised shared inbox and supporting day to day ledger administration
  • Preparing regular reports on receivables, aged debt and account performance for management
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to support cashflow forecasting and minimise financial risk
  • Contributing to continuous improvements within the sales ledger function

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in sales ledger, accounts receivable or credit control
  • Strong communication skills with a confident, professional approach to customer engagement
  • High level of accuracy and strong numerical ability
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent organisational skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently when needed
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and finance systems
