Sometimes the right career doesn’t feel like the right career straight away.
When Danika Bruwer first joined Recruitment Solutions NW as a Trainee Resource Consultant, she’ll be the first to admit that she wasn’t convinced recruitment was for her.
There were moments when she questioned whether she could do the job and whether it was something she really wanted to pursue.
Fast-forward to today, and things look very different.
Danika is now our Resource Consultant Team Leader, supporting the team, developing her recruitment knowledge and taking on Recruitment Consultant responsibilities across some of the campaigns she works on.
And this week, we received a lovely reminder of just how far she has come.

That development hasn’t happened overnight. It has come from learning the role, gaining experience, building confidence and, importantly, sticking with it when things felt difficult.
Everyone Has to Start Somewhere
Recruitment can be a challenging career.

That’s exactly why the word Trainee matters.
We don’t expect somebody joining us as a Trainee Resource Consultant to walk through the door knowing everything about recruitment. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, personality and willingness to learn.
Danika’s journey is a great example of where that starting point can lead.
She joined us as a trainee, learned the job, developed her confidence and responsibilities, and is now helping lead the Resource Consultant team while also working at Recruitment Consultant level on some campaigns.
