Job Description

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd are proud to be working with a specialist company who provide installation, servicing and maintenance solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial sites. Due to continued growth, we’re now seeking an experienced Service Engineer/Technician to join their dedicated field team.

The Role

As a Service Engineer you will play a key role in delivering high quality service and maintenance support to customers, ensuring equipment and systems remain fully operational and compliant. This is a varied, hands on role that combines technical expertise, problem solving, and customer interaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs across a range of customer sites
  • Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting technical issues efficiently
  • Installing new systems and ensuring correct setup and commissioning
  • Producing accurate service reports and maintaining documentation
  • Managing van stock and ensuring all tools and equipment are well maintained
  • Provide detailed product information and demonstrate correct use
  • Build lasting relationships with customers through annual maintenance visits and ad hoc call outs/new installations
  • Delivering excellent customer service and promoting additional services where appropriate

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s practical, self motivated and confident working independently in the field. You’ll have strong technical ability, a proactive approach to problem solving, and take pride in delivering quality work.

You’ll need:

  • A sound understanding of mechanical or electrical systems (Desired but not essential as full training will be given)
  • The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence is essential – up to 6 points max – no DR/DD/AC/BA/CD codes
  • Strong focus on Health & Safety policies and regulations
  • Comfortable with both manual and power tools
  • Able to manage own diary/appointments effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to work
