Overview

We are looking for a diligent and customer-focused Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team in a 6 month temporary contract basis . This role combines the management of the sales ledger with proactive credit control to maintain healthy cash flow, minimise bad debt, and ensure accurate financial records.

Credit Control Sales Ledger – Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales ledger: raise invoices, credit notes, allocate payments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Monitor customer accounts, chase overdue payments, and agree payment plans where needed.
  • Resolve payment queries and disputes by liaising with internal teams.
  • Produce customer statements, aged debt reports, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Set up new customer accounts and credit limits, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support month-end processes, reconciliations, and audits as required.

Credit Control Sales LedgerSkills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Credit Control, Sales Ledger, or similar finance role.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment.
