Job Description
Our client – A leading name in the Construction Industry, with excellent transport links and close proximity to the M62 Motorway System is looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their fats paced Finance Team. The successful candidate will undertake roles across Month-End Close Procedures, Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger/Credit Control/Invoicing.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Managing and monitoring customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
- Resolving any issues or queries related to credit control and payment discrepancies
- Producing regular reports on aged debt and account status
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording of sales invoices and payments
- Reconciliation of Sales and Purchase Ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Processing credit notes and adjustments when necessary
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
What you need to bring:
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of sales ledger and credit control processes
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Experience with accounting software and Excel (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Sage or similar systems)
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
