Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a Well-Established Finance Team at one of their main offices based in Manchester.
As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will be supporting the Financial Accountant and Financial Manager as well as working across a range of areas with the main emphasis on the month end cycle including Prepayments, Depreciation and Accruals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the integrity of the accounting records, including the accuracy of all postings to the nominal ledger and ongoing maintenance for both tax and accounting purposes
- Produce accrual and prepayment calculations each month across all group companies including Project related accruals
- Support the production of the quarterly VAT returns
- Reconcile payroll related balance sheets and monthly financial statements for international accounts
- Review intercompany balances and interoffice documents each month
- Arrange intergroup cash transfers monthly to settle balances
- Generate overhead information and balance sheet related information to be included in the Operating Statements on a monthly basis.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Previous work experience in similar role
- AAT Part Qualified or Relevant Experience
- Ability to work towards strict deadlines
- Sufficient on Microsoft Office
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
