An established and growing accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their dynamic audit and assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to take the next step in their career, managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, and supporting a diverse client portfolio across various industries.

Audit Senior – The Job:

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and review the work of junior staff, providing coaching and technical guidance.
• Perform risk assessments and design appropriate audit procedures to address identified risks.
• Liaise with clients to ensure timely delivery of audit work, resolve queries, and build strong client relationships.
• Prepare and review audit files for manager and partner review.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Identify and communicate accounting or auditing issues to management or the partner group.
• Contribute to internal training and the development of junior team members.

Audit Senior – The Person:

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK-based audit role, ideally within a practice environment.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and audit standards.
• Excellent project management, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and professional scepticism.
