As a Client Advisor Assistant, you will work closely with Client Advisors to support the delivery of an outstanding client experience and to foster long-term, sustainable relationships. You will play a key role across the full client lifecycle, providing high-quality administrative, organisational, commercial, and operational support. Your contribution will directly enable the smooth management of clients’ wealth in alignment with their goals and risk appetite.
Client Advisor Assistant – Key Responsibilities
- Proactively assist Client Advisors with the management of clients’ wealth in line with their aspirations and risk appetite. Support client meetings through thorough preparation of meeting packs, attending meetings when required, and taking ownership of all post-meeting actions.
- Contact clients, as requested by the Client Advisors, via telephone, letter, or in person to ensure their needs are met. This includes arranging meetings, annual reviews, and similar activities.
- Provide prompt and professional support in responding to client queries as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records, including handling standing data amendments, new client set-ups, and client deletions.
- Answer client calls and queries in a professional, service-focused manner.
- Liaise with operations and administration teams on behalf of the Client Advisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and issues are resolved promptly.
- Prepare, check, and dispatch client valuation records—both digital and hard copy—ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with team-related projects as requested and contribute to ensuring the team meets its obligations for the Client Profile Update process.
- Print valuations and statements, request payments, and record cash receipts/transfers as required.
- Update portfolio weightings and maintain meeting files with the latest review and meeting dates.
- Provide support to other teams when required to contribute to a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Consistently reflect and adhere to a culture of compliance in all relevant tasks and across the organisation.
- Develop your professional expertise through on-the-job learning, structured training, and, where appropriate, professional qualifications.

- Strong communication skills and excellent written English.
- Professional and confident telephone manner, comfortable handling a range of client queries.
- Excellent team player who supports and encourages colleagues, contributing to a positive, collaborative working culture and sharing information across functions.
- High degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Well-organised, efficient, and able to prioritise effectively.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to challenge existing processes and adopt a “see it, say it, fix it” approach.
Client Advisor Assistant – Knowledge and Experience
- Strong knowledge and proven experience within the UK wealth management industry.
- Experience supporting multiple advisors in a busy, client-focused environment.
- Good understanding of risk within the scope of the role and the ability to meet regulatory obligations where applicable.
- Competent in maintaining accurate client data and communicating effectively with clients.
