Senior Client Accountant
Job Description
We are working with a vertically integrated property investment and management platform with a diverse UK portfolio across retail, commercial, and mixed-use assets. The business combines asset management, property operations, and finance in-house, creating a fast-paced, commercially driven environment. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work with incomplete or inconsistent data, applying advanced journals and adjustments to produce reliable outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
Senior Client Accountant – Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of client and property financial reporting across multiple SPVs/entities Preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packs for asset managers and investors Delivery of service charge accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis Posting and review of advanced journals, including:
- Accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications
- Complex cost allocations (CAPEX vs OPEX, service charge splits)
- Intercompany and multi-entity adjustments
- Managing conflicting reporting requirements across stakeholders and ensuring reconciliation between outputs Working closely with property and asset management teams to resolve data gaps and improve reporting accuracy Supporting year-end processes and audit deliverables Identifying and implementing process improvements in a non-perfect environment
Senior Client Accountant – What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in property / real estate accounting Proven track record handling complex reporting structures
- (multi-entity, SPVs, or client reporting)
- Demonstrable experience posting advanced/manual journals to resolve incomplete or inconsistent data
- Solid understanding of service charge accounting
- Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
- Exposure to retail or mixed-use portfolios
- Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholder reporting requirements
Senior Client Accountant – The Package:
- Salary – c£38-42k
- Pension – Standard Employer Contribution
