Tax Compliance Manager

Job Description

We are working with an excellent business based in the Lancashire Towns area who are on the lookout for a Tax Compliance Manager. They are looking for someone to join the business in their newly created position to add value to their client list on tax within a compliant manner.

Tax Compliance Manager – The Job:

• Manage and oversee the completion of corporate and personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio.

• Ensure all compliance work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with deadlines and regulations.

• Liaise directly with HMRC and clients to handle queries and resolve tax issues.

• Review work prepared by junior staff and support their development through training and mentoring.

• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates internally and to clients.

• Work closely with the wider tax and accounts teams to deliver a joined-up service.

• Identify opportunities to add value through tax planning or advisory services and refer accordingly.

Tax Compliance Manager – Person Spec:

• ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent).

• Proven experience in a tax compliance role within practice.

• Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance, particularly corporate and personal tax.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a portfolio of clients effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience mentoring or managing junior staff is desirable.
