Job Description
We are working with an excellent business based in the Lancashire Towns area who are on the lookout for a Tax Compliance Manager. They are looking for someone to join the business in their newly created position to add value to their client list on tax within a compliant manner.
Tax Compliance Manager – The Job:
- Manage and oversee the completion of corporate and personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
- Ensure all compliance work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with deadlines and regulations.
- Liaise directly with HMRC and clients to handle queries and resolve tax issues.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and support their development through training and mentoring.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates internally and to clients.
- Work closely with the wider tax and accounts teams to deliver a joined-up service.
- Identify opportunities to add value through tax planning or advisory services and refer accordingly.
Tax Compliance Manager – Person Spec:
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a tax compliance role within practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance, particularly corporate and personal tax.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a portfolio of clients effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff is desirable.
