Recruitment Solutions gets on its bike for Rochdale Cricket Club

With sport temporarily on-hold amidst the Coronavirus outbreak, Rochdale Cricket Club have taken a novel approach to raising the much-needed funds to keep the club operating.

With gate receipts and other revenues virtually wiped out due to the lockdown measures, the club appealed for volunteers ranging from players, sponsors and club members to cycle from the club’s home at Rochdale Sports Club to the ground of the cricket club they would have been facing each weekend.

Each week sponsors have and are being encouraged to donate towards the fund to recognise the weekly efforts cyclists are putting in, with over £3,000 being raised to date.

This week it was a 25 mile round trip to the home of Haslingden Cricket Club, with director at Recruitment Solutions, Gavin Reynolds, donning the lycra alongside Rochdale Cricket Club stalwarts Mark Reynolds and Ian Gilbertson to take on the challenge and play his part in keeping the cricket club alive.

And the funding drive continues. A £5,500 target has been set with donations towards the collective effort being made being collected through JustGiving (linked below).
