Our very own Andrew Schofield is set to channel his inner Iron Man by taking part in the Barcelona-based competition this October.
The gruelling one day challenge will put Andrew through his paces with a 3.8km swim followed by 180km and 42km run.
Training is vital to this challenge, and with now just thirty weeks left until the big day, the workout schedule is in full flow. 6am swims before a busy day at the office, followed by a mix of cycling and running workouts have Andrew off to a great start and if this dedication keeps us, we are sure he will have no problems tackling the triathlon.
The competitiveness of recruitment has provided Andrew with the best set of skills to apply to the task and with the support of Recruitment Solutions and our ambitious like-minded staff he is feeling positive about the outcome.
Having such supportive colleagues is key for me being able to train and work. Discussing how training sessions are going and having the odd laugh around slow people swimming in the fast lane is great and helps make light of the huge task ahead!

Suffering a serious cycling accident in 2014 has not dinted Andrews determination one bit. He broke his knee and needed two reconstructive operations to get him back in working order, but he then went on to complete the ½ Iron Man event in Barcelona in 2016 and now there is no stopping him as he sets his sights on the 2018 event.
