Rochdale is the Toy Appeal’s largest affected area this Christmas, with 145 children nominated for support.
We’re proud to announce we’ve sponsored children in Rochdale again this year through the Sedulo Christmas Toy Appeal, helping bring joy to local families facing poverty, homelessness, domestic abuse, and social inequality.
The appeal is part of a nationwide campaign from Sedulo, one of the UK’s fastest growing business consultancy firms – supporting 1,200 children across the UK, with donations open now at christmas.sedulo.co.uk.
This year, Rochdale is the Toy Appeal’s largest localised affected area, with 145 children from Rochdale nominated by trusted partner organisations including schools, charities, refuges, and community groups, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
Each child is nominated by an organisation that knows their circumstances and needs. Sponsors can support a child by purchasing from curated gift lists or contributing financially toward specific items. Every gift goes directly to a named child, creating a clear and personal link between sponsor and impact.
We were also delighted to be joined by the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Janet Emsley, who helped us wrap and pack presents for the local children.

“It was genuinely lovely to take a bit of time out to go and buy presents for the children — it’s the kind of thing that reminds you what Christmas is really about.
“While we were shopping, an older lady stopped us and, when she realised what we were doing, she donated money on the spot to help too — it was such a heartwarming moment and shows how generous people can be.
“We’re really grateful to be in a position where we can support the Toy Appeal, and to be able to organise a part of it for children here in Rochdale.”
