As has become tradition, we’re extremely proud to once again be supporting the Sedulo Christmas Toy Appeal, helping to give children in the North West (as well as other areas of the UK) a Christmas Day they ordinarily wouldn’t have.
In a twist this year though, our support this year comes in the form of a donation which is providing children living in the Rochdale borough with Christmas dinner for them and their families.
The Sedulo’s Christmas Toy Appeal partners with local charities and carers to reach those who are experiencing difficult circumstances or living conditions out of their control with the goal to help families hit hardest at this time of year. Through sponsorship, supporters simply select a child from the lists based on their name, age and interest, whether it be a favourite toy, book or colouring set. Sponsors then wrap, label and deliver gifts to the Sedulo offices in Manchester, Leeds, London and Liverpool for their festively-themed reverse grotto events.
Due to the success of this year’s Appeal, the support has gone beyond just providing Christmas morning through presents, and for the first time ever has pledged to provide Christmas afternoon through Christmas dinner. On supporting the cause, Managing Director at Recruitment Solutions, Karen Reynolds, says:
We’re really proud to be able to help a few causes every year and the Sedulo Christmas Toy Appeal is no different. With the cost of living crisis, we felt it was even more important to give as much as we possibly can to this cause, so hopefully a good number of families across the Rochdale borough will be able to enjoy a Christmas together that they might not have been planning for.
